Advent Evening of Reflection

Preacher - Fr. Jerek Schereber, LC

Fr. Jerek was born and raised on a dairy farm in Minnesota and is the oldest of 10 kids. Around the age of eleven he joined ECYD and started going to retreats run by the Legionaries. At 14 he felt a call to follow Christ on an adventure, in which the first step was the Immaculate Conception Apostolic School run by the Legionaries of Christ. After graduating in 2006, he entered the novitiate in Cornwall, Ontario. His studies also brought him to Connecticut and Rome. His apostolic engagement saw him first as an assistant formator at the Legionary novitiate in Connecticut and then on the youth work team in Houston. Fr Jerek joined the Oakville community as a deacon in August of 2018 and was ordained a priest several months later, on May 4, 3019. He is currently the local boys ECYD director. He considers himself a professional paper airplane pilot.
