Committed to Forming Christian Leaders

Mater Boni Consilii Academy is dedicated to recognizing and nurturing the God-given talents and skills of our faculty. We encourage and provide many opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional growth through formational activities organized by the school, access to our school priests for spiritual guidance, Professional Development (PD) Days, conferences, fun faculty and team-building events, a strong leadership team, and administrative support. We have an enthusiastic, helpful, and welcoming faculty and community!

Elementary Teacher
(Grade 1-8)

Mater Boni Consilii Academy is always looking for hard working, dedicated teachers who love our mission of forming the next generation of Christian Leaders! We seek a qualified candidate who loves children and is committed to teaching a rigorous curriculum, finding creative and innovative ways to engage students, understands our strong faith-based mission, and is dedicated to our educational philosophy of Integral Formation - developing the intellectual, spiritual, human, and apostolic dimensions of the whole child.

Substitute Teacher
(Grade K-8)

Mater Boni Consilii Academy is accepting applications for substitute teachers (Kindergarten through Grade 8). We are looking for qualified candidates to fill in as substitute teachers when a regular teacher is absent or unable to attend a particular class and ensure that there is no gap in the learning process. 

 

As a substitute teacher, you will follow lesson plans created by the regular teacher, supervise the class, and maintain a positive learning environment.

 

Ideal candidates must possess the required teaching credentials and understand our strong faith-based mission and our educational philosophy of Integral Formation - developing the intellectual, spiritual, human, and apostolic dimensions of the whole child. New graduates are welcome. Previous teaching experience, substituting experience, or working/volunteering in other child/student-related environments is an asset.

Teaching Requirements

For teaching positions, we require the eight documents listed below:

  • Cover Letter 

  • Resume 

  • Practicum and/or Teaching Evaluations

  • Transcripts 

  • Letters of Reference from Professional Supervisors (at least three) 

  • Letter of Reference from Current Parish Priest

  • Current Criminal Record Check (within three months)

  • Ontario Teaching Certificate 

 

Teacher candidates who are still completing coursework are asked to begin their applications and forward any incomplete documents as they become available. In your cover letter, help us to understand who you are; share your story with us! Please ensure you also indicate your teaching specialties and grade level preferences.
