Remembrance Day at MBCA!
On Remembrance Day, our students gathered for a Peace Liturgy, to honor the courage and sacrifices of soldiers who have fought for peace and freedom. We reflected on their legacy and prayed for a world united in hope and compassion. We were also joined by students from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, who led engaging crafts and story time.
Brott Music Festival
Our students had a fabulous time at the Brott Music Festival, immersing themselves in the beauty and depth of the mighty sounds of a live symphony orchestra. Students got to learn how different musical elements can convey emotions like JOY, SADNESS, FEAR and EXCITEMENT. They discovered how music can also be a tool to help them understand and even manage their own feelings – a vital part of their emotional development.
YMCA & Phys. Ed Program
With the organization of our Parent Advisory Council, we are excited to announce a new opportunity to enhance our student's physical education experience! In November, our students began participating in regular trips to the YMCA where they enjoy a broader range of physical activities and specialized gym programming. These sessions allow our students to engage in activities that go beyond our usual offerings, with trained YMCA instructors guiding them in skills that promote fitness, sports, teamwork, and wellness. It's a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn and grow in a fun and supportive environment. School Policy Updates
At Mater Boni Consilii Academy, we have updated several key policies to ensure a positive learning environment. Parents can find these updates directly in the Parent Handbook on the Parent Portal while others are available at the button below or by clicking here. The Uniform Policy has been revised to emphasize consistency and professional appearance, with clear guidelines on acceptable attire. Updates to the Student Conduct & Discipline Policy strengthen our commitment to fostering respect, responsibility, and accountability, with detailed procedures for addressing infractions. Our enhanced Anti-Bullying Policy introduces proactive measures, including regular awareness programs streamlined reporting protocols, to promote a safe and supportive atmosphere for all students. Lastly, new Lunch Time Monitor Guidelines have been implemented to ensure better supervision and smoother management during lunch hours, prioritizing student safety and well-being.
